It Alone’?
For?
Executives who will be leaving your organisation (either by their own choice - long term ‘career’ planning, voluntary redundancy, early retirement - or due to organisational requirements) and to whom you will be providing some financial or practical assistance to help them in this transition.
These executives will have expressed an interest in future self employment, which could comprise anything from running their own business to interim management assignments coupled with developing an existing interest, for example.
Why?
The seminar gives attendees the option of exploring the practical areas of self-employment in a ‘non-live’ situation, free of the hassle and worry that comes with business start up and to make an informed decision as to whether ‘going it alone’ is for them. In addition, it will highlight areas for further research or personal development.
What?
A one day, in-house, seminar for those executives contemplating a part or full time self employment option, either now, or perhaps in the future. The seminar can be specifically tailored to company/individual requirement, but will cover some or all of the following broad brush areas:

Being in business for yourself - is it for you? Covers areas such as types of business to consider, personality and domestic issues in self employment, how others do it

Practical business areas to consider. Covers areas such as location, setting up, company name/branding, premises, equipment and stationery requirements etc.

How to get business. Covers the marketing areas you will need to consider/carry out when attracting clients/customers to your business

Business skills. Covers the types of skills you will need to possess or learn in order to run a successful business

Remaining in business. Covers the area of charging for your products and services and how to keep the money coming in.
All attendees will receive a copy of “The Essential Guide to Earning a Living from Independent Consultancy” and free first year membership of EntrepreneursUK
Cost?
Price per delegate depends on the number of delegates from your organization and
whether we facilitate the event in Scarborough or at a location of your choice.
Payment in full one week in advance of programme. Refunds for non attendance will not be given, but a partial credit will be given towards a future in-house seminar or towards another, appropriate EntrepreneursUK service or product. Travel & accommodation expenses (if necessary), to be agreed in advance and paid at cost on invoice.
